Lessons that I Provide

My students learn how lessons and practice can be fun and rewarding.

Success in learning depends on finding the right Music Instructor for you. Someone who knows the subject well and understands how to inspire others. Music is emotion in sound. My teaching style begins with skills training, performing with your brain, then leads to performing from your heart.

Piano Lessons

Personalized Attention

My piano students develop confidence and proficiency through understanding and fun. I teach much more than how to play. I teach how to practice in ways that are efficient and rewarding so students want to practice.

Voice Lessons

First how to sing better, then how to sing better from the heart.

My students enjoy learning how to improve their tone, range, diction, dynamic range, and much more. I show them how warm ups and practice can be rewarding and enjoyable.

TESTIMONIALS:

Professional, personable, and knowledgeable are the words I use to describe Mr. McMullen. By my third lesson I was sight reading and playing simple music on the piano. In just six months, I achieved 11 out of my 12 personal goals as a musician. After only three voice lessons I had doubled my breath intake. My vocal tone and resonance are now rich and powerful. I highly recommend Mr. McMullen as a fantastic music teacher.

Randall McMullen has developed a very effective set of practice methods that our son can follow every time he sits at the piano. The materials and experience Randall provides help my son learn piano not just during lessons, but also empowers us as parents continue at the learning home.

Being in Mr. McMullen’s band was one of the most enjoyable things I’ve ever been a part of! He made learning a fun and interactive experience. He’s very willing to work with anyone that needs help, and he’s also there when you need a friend. He is also keen on being punctual, and he believes in everyone’s talents. I still, to this day, live by one of the many mottos of Mr. McMullen, which is, “Don’t make excuses. Make it happen!”

Being in Mr. McMullen’s band gave me a feeling of self-pride and a healthy way of expressing myself through music. It made me feel at one with all the individuals that were playing the music as well. I felt an importance, not only to my band mates but to others as well. I realized that commitment, dedication, and persistence are of key importance. And to do better at anything you must do the work. I loved playing tuba and trombone. Now I continue playing music with my guitar.
